Welcome to Sekelboer! By accessing or using our website (https://sekelboer.co.za) and purchasing our products, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

🛍️ 1. General Information

Sekelboer Sunglasses is an online retailer of high-quality, UV400 polarized sunglasses. We source only the best from multiple suppliers around the world!

All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).

📦 2. Orders and Payment

Orders are processed upon receipt of full payment via Payfast or Peach Payments.

We accept major credit cards, EFT payments, and mobile payment methods.

All payment information is encrypted and handled securely.

🚚 3. Shipping and Delivery

We offer Standard, and Free Shipping on orders exceeding R750.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on location and courier schedules.

Sekelboer is not liable for delays caused by external factors (e.g., weather, strikes, or customs).

🔄 4. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

Returns and exchanges are subject to our Refund Policy.

Products must be returned within 7 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging.

A 20% handling fee applies to returns or exchanges due to customer errors or change of mind.

No refunds or credits will be issued if an item is exchanged for a lower-priced product.

💳 5. Pricing and Promotions

Promotional offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn without notice.

Discounts and vouchers are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.

🔐 6. Privacy and Data Protection

We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Customer information is stored securely and only used to process orders and improve our services.

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties, except for delivery purposes.

❗ 7. Limitation of Liability

Sekelboer is not liable for any damages arising from the misuse of our products.

Our sunglasses are fashion and lifestyle accessories and should not be used as protective eyewear in hazardous environments unless otherwise stated.

Disputes will be resolved accordingly.

⚖️ 9. Warranty Policy – Wear and Tear

Our sunglasses are covered by a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects only, in line with the CPA.

The warranty does not cover:

Surface scratches and scuffs.

Loose hinges due to overextension or improper handling.

Damage caused by exposure to heat, chemicals, or moisture.

Frames or lenses that have been tampered with.

Independent Inspection & Cost Responsibility

In the event of a dispute regarding a product's condition, Sekelboer reserves the right to engage an independent third-party assessor to conduct an impartial inspection.

If the sunglasses are determined to have a manufacturing defect covered under the 6-month warranty, Sekelboer will cover all associated inspection costs, and the appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) will be provided as per the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

However, if the inspection reveals that the damage is due to wear and tear, misuse, or improper care—contrary to the warranty terms—the customer will be responsible for all costs incurred during the assessment, including but not limited to inspection, shipping, and administrative fees.

Important:

Any product showing signs of misuse or excessive wear and tear will not qualify for a warranty claim.

At Sekelboer Sunglasses, we prioritize creating a safe and respectful environment for both our customers and team. We value all feedback and are always open to resolving concerns professionally.

However, we reserve the right to:

Decline non-mandatory services (e.g., goodwill exchanges) if a customer engages in abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behavior toward our staff.

Report and seek legal aid in the event of false, defamatory, or malicious reviews that do not reflect genuine experiences with our products or services.
